APPEAL! Tim Southee to Tom Curran. Off cutter back of a length, down leg side backing away pulling, in the air under control to deep backward square leg for 2 runs, run save by Nicholls, direct hit by Latham, appeal made for Run Out.
Wonderful piece of fielding in the deep and Nicholls saves a couple of runs which could prove vital later on. England have smashed 335 from their 50 overs but at one stage they would have been looking at closer to 400. The middle-order had a terrible collapse losing six wickets for 21 runs, after Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root had set up the innings perfectly with a fantastic partnership.
Credit to Ish Sodhi for tossing the ball up and to New Zealand for sticking with it in the field after a sloppy performance early on. Is 335 going to be enough on this wicket with short, straight boundaries?

Nicholls does it with a six. The pressure was getting to him in the final over but he managed to clip the ball off his pads into the crowd. Ross Taylor you beauty, 181 not out and one of the best innings in a chase you will ever see. He was in severe pain with his quad and then various other ailments throughout the innings but he battled through for his team and got them home to square up the series 2-2.
Who would have thought New Zealand would have chased 335 down when they were 2-2 in the third over. The big two for New Zealand along with Tom Latham took their time and built partnerships while taking advantage of the bad balls and small boundaries.
England know they were a few runs short after the collapse in their innings but nothing can be taken away from what we have just seen. ODIs between England and New Zealand always deliver and once again we go into the final game of the series with it all to play for.
