Just as it threatened to fizzle, Ben Duckett stepped up and cashed in on his early grind, going on to a well-earned fifty, while Tim David, uncharacteristically, never quite got to grips with the tackiness of the pitch. The Sunrisers, for their part, mixed their lengths smartly throughout with Abrar, Carse and Ellis sharing the spoils.

That's exactly the kind of knowledge Mohammad Amir brought to the table when his side needed it most.
