Reflecting on his bowling figures of 1 for 25, he notes that the pitch eased up nicely for batting after the tenth over, but he believes the total is well within reach if their batters show patience before attacking. He credits Kieron Pollard's motivational words during the huddle for waking the team up and lifting their intensity in the field. The skipper of Antigua & Barbuda Falcons - Moeen Ali says the character shown throughout the game pleased him most, particularly the way they responded in difficult moments. He praises Rakheem Cornwall’s excellent start and highlights Hasan Nawaz’s brilliant knock, especially after the batter had been struggling for form. Ali also feels the team showed great character in the field, particularly when conditions became tougher with the dew, and says they continued believing even when Kieron Pollard appeared to be taking the game away from them. On the total, Ali says there was a point when 160 or 170 looked like a decent score, but feels reaching 180-plus gave them a much stronger chance. With the dew not becoming as heavy as expected and some grip still available from the surface, he believes the eventual total proved to be a very comfortable one.

The captain for Trinbago Knight Riders - Nicholas Pooran admits they let the game slip away in the end, with the spinners keeping things tight after ABF posted 183. He feels losing several wickets in the Powerplay was where they fell short, particularly his own dismissal, and says that was not acceptable. Reflecting on the huddle after three overs, Pooran says the team’s body language was unacceptable and felt they had allowed the game to drift away from them. He stresses that they could not afford to play with that attitude against a side packed with quality players, adding that everyone recognised the need to step up. Pooran believes 183 was a good total and accepts that they also needed to hold their catches, while acknowledging that the players gave their best and had to accept the result. He reserves special praise for Kieron Pollard, saying his performance showed why he is regarded as one of the greatest T20 batters. Pooran admires how Pollard battled through the pain, absorbed pressure and continued fighting to give them hope, although he was ultimately unable to take them over the line. Joshua James then added another wicket in the Powerplay to leave the hosts in early trouble. Jayden Seales struggled to make an impact, but James came back to get the big one, while Shamar Springer chipped in as well. TKR made ABF work hard, but Shadab’s control stood out, with his four-run 17th over followed by a superb three-run 18th from James, which turned the game decisively in ABF’s favour.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Rahkeem Cornwall wins the award for his excellent all-round effort. He scored 20 runs off just 7 balls and picked up 3/17(3). He says his quick start was important given his role in the team, with the all-rounder tasked with providing momentum in the Powerplay. He feels the total was good at the halfway stage, particularly with the pitch expected to get tougher for batting as the ball got older, and praises the bowling attack for executing their plans well. Speaking about his bowling, Cornwall says the key was hitting the right areas and getting enough spin on the ball. He believes sticking to his lengths would continue to bring him success. The win, he adds, is a big boost for the team and believes they can go deep in the tournament if they continue playing at the same level. Cornwall reveals he is still managing some hip pain picked up during the previous game in Antigua but is hopeful the physio will help him recover quickly. He also dedicates his Player of the Match award to his son, whose birthday is the following day.

Cornwall provided a quick-fire cameo at the top, but the real momentum came from the massive 108-run stand between Moeen Ali and Hasan Nawaz, with Nawaz leading the charge with a brilliant 76 off 48 before Ali finished with a late flourish. Trinbago Knight Riders bowled well in patches, with Narine the standout for economy and Tariq claiming 1/25, while Akeal Hosein and Justin Greaves picked up a wicket apiece. However, conceding 59 runs in the final five overs hurt their chances, and dropping Moeen Ali for nothing only added to their frustration.

TKR fall short - Trinbago Knight Riders' opening stand has been a strength in recent games, but it never got going here despite Colin Munro’s quick 18 off 9. Nicholas Pooran got a start but could not convert, and four wickets fell in the Powerplay despite 63 on the board. Kieron Pollard then rolled back the years, first finding support from Justin Greaves before a 55-run stand with Joshua Da Silva gave TKR a glimmer of hope. But Pollard fell trying to go big, in what could prove to be a final goodbye to the home crowd. Da Silva brought up his fifty off the last ball, but by then, the game was already beyond reach.

Trinbago Knight Riders finish their home leg with another disappointing defeat in front of their own fans. Their last three losses have all come by single-digit margins, but the damage is now significant - even two wins from their final two games may not be enough to keep their playoff hopes in their own hands.
